Salem Baptist Church is using Seasons of the Spirit curriculum.   The curriculum goal is to build dynamic communities of faith by integrating worship and; Christian education.

Seasons of the Spirit is designed for all ages toddler through adults.  They will experience connections to the Christian lectionary year and connect faith to life-at-home, in the community, and in the world.

Faith development is nurtured through imagination, creativity, and different ways of learning including music, art, inclusive language, images and stories.

It is hoped that each student will have an opportunity to engage in ongoing ministries of love, justice and witness.  By worshiping, studying and reflecting together each week children and adults will form and inclusive community of faith centered around the living God.

Church School Teacher…

Church School Teachers are crucial links between promises to nurture growing Christians and the carrying of those vows.

Classes are staffed with “Teaching Teams” consisting of three or more men and women.  Teachers accept a significant challenge which includes personal learning and growth, teaching others, meeting the needs of others, excitement and satisfaction.  Each teacher rings what he or she has to offer to the teaching/learning experience andjoin hands with God and others to provide a quality effective church school.

Growing As A Church - A Message From The Pastor

A person's faith development is perhaps the most crucial part of his or her life's development.  A strong faith enables us to meet the challenges of life as well as persevere through the struggles of life.

The Salem Baptist Church School provides opportunities for all people of all ages to develop their faith. 

Children are able to hear Bible stories and have their Christian faith nurtured.  This early foundation is important to their faith development. 

Teenagers are able to develop their faith  by raising questions in Church School.  They struggle with scriptures during these formative years.  This helps them to develop character and a positive outlook on life.

Adults, by studying scripture and conversing with each other, are able to develop their faith.  Through shared experiences, they are able to discover how the Bible relates to life issues.

The Salem Baptist Church School has a great deal to offer to all.  We invite you to become part of the experience.
