Purpose and Goals
The goal of the Salem Adult Citizens, Inc is to provide a meaningful, intellectual and constructive program for the older adults in the community and surrounding areas.  The participants may be 60 years of older.

10:00am to 2:00pm

History
The Salem Adult Citizens program was organized in 1977.  The Center is funded in part by Montgomery office of Aging and Adult Services and the Pennsylvania Dept of Aging.

The Center is a non-profit and non-discriminatory organization. It was incorporated under the laws of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania on December 4, 1978.

In order to meet the needs of the Salem Adult Citizens, Inc. the following goals were set forth:

  • We seek to provide an answer to the increased leisure time of older adults and to help them organize that time in useful and enjoyable pursuits.
  • We seek to provide a variety of educational, cultural, and social outlets for older adults and to help them form meaningful relationships with their peers.
  • We seek to foster good nutritional support for older adults and to provide them with well-balanced meals.
  • We seek to promote good mental and physical health for older adults.
