The Pastoral Search Committee is elated to announce the election of Reverend Barry Wright of Columbia, South Carolina as the Senior Pastor of Salem Baptist Church of Jenkintown.  The church elected Reverend Wright with an eighty percent majority.

It is with joy that we welcome you to the Salem Baptist Church of Jenkintown by means of the World Wide Web. We are grateful to God for this new medium by which to minister to others in Christ's name. We pray that our efforts here will bring glory to our Lord Jesus Christ, and serve to build up His kingdom here on earth.

Salem is a House of Prayer for all who worship with us. We want to minister to you by means of our Web site. To understand who we are, see our Vision page.

If you would like to receive Salvation through Jesus Christ, you may do so on our Salvation Online page. Upon receiving Christ, we will send you a Bible and other material to help you grow spiritually.

Worship Opportunities

  • Sunday Morning Worship 7:45 A.M. and 11:00 A.M.
  • Church School 9:30 A.M. Each Sunday (Classes for all ages)
  • Midweek Prayer Service 6:45 P.M. & Bible Class 7:45 P.M. every Wednesday
  • The Salem Bible Institute   meets: every Monday (6:45pm), Tuesday (10:30am & 6:45pm), Wednesday & Thursday (6:45pm)
  • Tender Loving Care (Small Group) Ministry meet at various times during the week. Look for TLC Ministries under Salem's Ministries or contact us for more details.
